The trouble with twitter

There seems to be a lot of buzz about the whole twitter’ malarkey at the moment on TV, Radio and in the blogosphere. But I’m not convinced.
Warren has tried to convince me, he uses his to put up his status on his blog and facebook all via his mobile. Which sounds great to some, but I just think its a massive gimmick! Plus, since I use a free blog – paid for in my ADLC membership – I can’t add twitter widgets 
[may be this is why I find it pointless!]
Even our party has got in on the act, creating its own version called tweets.
Now LibDiggs I get, use and quite like – but this twitter/tweet thing seems a little pointless. Ooh, and Lib Dems have been hailed as Luddites for not having a comprehensive web presence! lol.
Bottom line: I’m just not convince anyone would really be very interested to find out I’m “making a tea” or “just had a haircut”?
