Today I received my ballot paper for the LGA Lib Dem Group Elections

Cllr Daisy Benson the only Lib Dem councillor standing from Berkshire for any of the LGA Group positions, she said,

I am standing for a place on the Safer Communities Board – some thing I care deeply about and have been heavily involved in during my time as a Councillor.

Daisy and other Lib Dems have pledged, if elected, to work hard all year round to listen and gather the views of Lib Dem councillors across England and Wales. But also to work closely with the Parliamentary Party to make sure our direction and messages are integrated.

I for one will be voting for Daisy – especially when she, and Gareth Epps, were very inspirational for me getting involved in local politics.
